Really? I'm always amazed by how loud a brake can get 5.56 up to. I was at an outdoor range and a guy with a 16" barrel and a mini Y comp break was shaking the fillings out of my teeth.

I agree, I hate them and none of my guns have them. In fact, my primary training range forbids them in classes. Here is what is stated on his website…

    MUZZLE BRAKES

Due to the possible long term residual effects of their use from not only the decibel level, but also from the concussion which can lead to possible damage of the inner ear, we are no longer allowing them on the range.

If your brake has the same output as a standard A2, you will be allowed to use it. If not, please exchange or remove your brake prior to arriving at our facility, I have standard flash hiders to use at no cost to you. Contact me ahead of time.

Honestly, Clinton ban guns with Brakes are probably the only time a military style weapon has ever posed an actual health risk to the owner.

Oh yeah. With the can off, it's not even shootable. I thought you meant there was a difference in performance with the can mounted. Even a 16" barrel is horrible with a brake and no suppressor.

The last comps I had were on AK 74s, I'm sure whoever has them now is enjoying them LOL. 14.5s with A2s meet all my loudness needs.

Same here. No brain damage from the blast. Just the glorious M4 bark.

I'm going to take one for the team and place an order. It's expensive, but it does seem to be a unique offering. I'll post pictures when it arrives if someone doesn't beat me to it.
